Adobe Youth Voices

Posted by Shawn Stewart | Filed under: Cause Marketing

Adobe Youth VoicesAdobe is giving young people in underserved communities the tools and platform to voice their opinions, contribute to solving the world's problems and find their purpose.

Adobe is partnering with five youth media organizations from around the world to provide millions in funding, creative software and volunteer support for training young people in underserved communities in the disciplines of print, web design and video. Their goal is to help these students become digitally literate and inspire them to jump in, not give up and let their voices make a difference.

This cause initiative is something Adobe seems committed to for some time to come. They've announced their "first-year sites"-- Seattle, New York, San Francisco, London and India. Within each of these sites are a whole host of individual schools and organizations.

Michelle Mann, senior manager of corporate affairs and community relations at Adobe, said, "The sites, schools and organizations we've selected have a long history of success in engaging youth with the world around them ... together, we'll help young people make their voices heard to make positive changes in their communities."

The students have already produced some great work--you can check out video shorts on the Adobe web site. Be sure to check out the Youth Voices In Action video clip. It explains the initiative really well and interviews some of the students that they've had a significant impact on. It's pretty inspiring stuff.

Props to Adobe!
